Sitka Conservation Society

Voices of the Tongass is a multi-media project revolving around the stories Southeast Alaskans tell about the landscape that has shaped them. Including interviews, photographs, and articles, the project explores many facets of life in Southeast Alaska. Voices of the Tongass is inspired by the experiences of its creators, Caitlin Woolsey and Berett Wilber, who were born and raised in Sitka and somehow always find a reason to come back to the Tongass. Their next step will be to expand the project to include perspectives beyond their own generation.
